Gerty & Kendall

Slept well and woke early feeling very refreshed - no sign of jetlag which was a real bonus. Decided to stretch the legs with a walk for an hour and whilst it was a brisk temperature (to be expected in early autumn) it was very refreshing.

Sundays in Banbury are Sundays spent at Fiona's. She gets enormous pleasure from putting on beautiful roast dinners for whoever is around and today there were 'the regulars' plus cousins who called up to say they were nearby and would call in to be sure we had some time to catch up. Dinner for 8 please. It was great to see Della and Iain again - they don't seem to have changed a bit and of course, we chatted for hours.

Gerty the Boxer and Kendall my niece get along great, as you can see from this pic :) They're both real characters and whilst Gerty wasn't around last time I was home, Kendall has grown into a confident, chatty, aware and articulate teenager who quickly picked up how to use my camera and got some good results too :)
