Easy Sunday....

Malcolm had told us it would be an easy day being a Sunday, but the jobs kept coming throughout the day and we ended up working from 10am until 5pm! The highlight for me was being told to move a massive pile of garden waste a couple of feet along the property. This included all of the weeds etc from our work in the hot house over the last two days! I was far from impressed by this job! The boys had to dig a grave for the possum and chicken that Jack the dog had killed earlier that day, but I was saved from this task. We also shifted loads of wood and bamboo for a bonfire and ended the day by keeping the fire going for a couple of hours. The lads kept smothering the fire with too much wood and eventually we gave up and let it die out. We were exhausted by this point anyway. Malcolm made roast lamb for dinner, I had never eaten lamb before and was dreading it, but was more worried about appearing too fussy if I did not eat it, so I tried some - it was not great. The apple crumble for dessert was way more tasty!
