Go Zombie!

Evie and I went to cheer on the Sheffield Steel Roller Girls this afternoon. I haven't shot one of their bouts this year and it was great to go and try and capture the action again. They were skating against the Dollie Rocket Rollers and basically pounded them 314 - 90.

This shot does not tell the story. You think Zombie (on the right) is going to get slammed yeah? Well that's the beauty of derby. What some skaters might have in power, size and aggression, other skaters have in speed, stealth and hipshakin' menuoverabilty. About 2 seconds after this shot was taken Zombie avoided the hip check, the blocker was sprawled and Zombie skated through as lead Jammer...
