Burgh Island

First day of our Devon adventure.
Part Christmas present and part "you've been ill and in hospital" (see this time last year) present from Laura's Mum and Dad was a night at the Burgh Island Hotel. It's an art deco original 1920s hotel on an island off the south coast of Devon and you get taken over across the sand when the tide's out or in a sea-tractor when the tide's in.
It really was very, very nice with a black tie dinner -preceeded by canapés & cocktails- in the evening and then breakfast too. Memorable to say the least.
