When my best friend said she had bought me a 'crap' present I had no idea what to expect...

I am lying in bed and it is pouring with rain outside and (dare I say it...?) I am loving it. The sound of the raindrops on the little flat roof over my bedroom windows has a wonderfully soothing rhythm all of it's own.

A nice day - lunch with an old friend. Home to tidy and cook. Kuifje and a friend round for tea. Entertaining chat. A very gezellig evening. Sadly my Kuifje is feeling poorly so it was early to bed for her; while my friend La and I played on her dating site...wow - that is a whole new world to me, and looks utterly terrifying. Fingers crossed for her!

Now to cuddle up in my cosy bed and fall asleep to the sound of the rain...
