I thought I'd reinvented the teabag the other day. My re-invention involved a who compartmented bag, one for the leaves and another to act as a float to keep the bag perfectly stationed in the middle of the cup during brewing.

Didn't last long. I later figured it would probably cost more to produce than you could reasonably charge for teabags to make them viable.... and normal teabags float this way naturally.
