International morning of the stressed out parent

chloe got dressed up as a panther for "walk to school dressed up as a foreign animal" day

she did have her face painted (just plain black, i wasn't feeling very artistic) but she started crying when she saw herself so we had to chuck her in the shower at ten past eight...

was great fun seeing most of the other kids dressed up, some parents had obviously gone to massive efforts, making clothes and masks, elaborate face painting. one girl had an entire elephant costume made from cardboard and a real branch stuck to the trunk, it looked pretty heavy.

couldn't help feeling sorry for the kids that didn't get dressed up though. it's kind of like that dream where you turn up somewhere and you're still wearing your pyjamas...or is that just me?
