That day

The day of my small girl starting school. We home schooled our older daughter until she was six. The UK is so obsessed with 'educating' our children from an early age, filling this, that and the other curriculum of doom and creativity-sapping schedules. Bloody well just let the kids play!

I agreed to her starting school, but only part-time. Both children know if they ever wish to learn at home again, they can. Little pixie has only just turned four and is a very young and precious four. So three hours a day is just enough.

Mind you, it would have helped if mummy had gotten the right day for starting school, and not a day too early...
