From Wikipedia:
An escalator is a moving staircase, a conveyor transport device for carrying people between floors of a building, whereas a travellator or a travelator (and colloquially known by some as a horizontalator, movealator, walkalator, autowalk or movator), is a slow moving conveyor mechanism that transports people across a horizontal or inclined plane over a short to medium distance.
Here is Mr Flum descending the travellator with his trolley in the new Sainsbury's, recently opened on the site of a vacated DIY store forever referred by the family as 'B's B&Q', as B used to work the twiglet twilight shift as a youth.
