Spider in a Web -- Need Help

I am putting up this picture hoping that some of you who are more experienced can help me. There is this enormous spider who has spun a web out in the middle of the front yard. You can only see it at night.

I used a flashlight to illuminate it and I used a tripod. It was set on manual but I have been having a terrible time figuring out how to set everything the way I want it. It is NOT intuitive but since I have invested in this MFT camera, I am determined to figure out how to use it correctly.

This isn't very good, but is the best of the lot that I took. I would like help on how to not get the spider blown out. He should be a light beige in color and ideally, I should be able to get a very clear picture of him even in the dark with the tripod and the right settings.

The spider is pretty ugly and scary but the web is beautiful! I know it should be possible to get a decent photo of both, though I do think it is a challenging subject.

Thank you all so much in advance for any help.
