Chained up......

What a wonderful day. It's a mild 12°C daytime max, the ducks are splashing about in the stream enjoying themselves, the water starved garden is refreshing itself and the plants are enjoying having the cumulated dust washed off.

It's damn cold and borderline whether to turn on the central heating or at least light the sitting room's wood fire. Trapped in the house and ought to be doing lots of tidying up but can't get motivated. Rain has actually stopped as I write this so ought to get out and give the dogs a longer walk than this morning and the chickens will probably be thankful for an early feed so that they can go to bed early.

The chain in the photo normally hangs vertically from a roof gutter and directs the rain in to a cistern, which is our garden watering source. Doesn't look like we will need it for a few days, so have redirected the water to land in or near the pond.
