Amalfi: Cloister of Paradise
We spent the morning exploring Amalfi starting with a visit to a museum which described the paper making industry of Amalfi. Paper from here is still used by artists and for writing legal documents. Originally the paper was made from cotton rags and later from wood.
We then went to the cathedral which has a magnificent interior and is of course of additional interest as the bows of St Andrew , our own patron saint , are interred her.
This lovely cloister, adjacent to the cathedral , is a lovely peaceful place
