Life, not as we see it.

Gubbio + Campus

Gubbio is about 10 miles north of Gualdo T. We drove 25 miles to get there. Wow, what roads the SatNav can find!
Tuesday is market day - where do they find so much poor quality clothing for those particular stalls, I wonder.
Stumbled across an exhibition of paintings and sculptures by an artist named Manuel Campus. He is 85 years of age and currently lives near Spoletto, south Umbria. His work is simply amazing. Most of the exhibition is devoted to the futility of war, and man's indifference to the suffering of his fellow travellers. There is some similarity in style to that of Peter Howson, and I would suspect both have suffered similar mental anguish in their lives.
The exhibition is in The Palazzo Consoli in the main square of Gubbio, and it itself is worth the climb up to the square. That's it above.

Weather seems set to deteriorate this week. Here's hoping it will be fair for the MotoGP at Misano on Sunday. Wouldn't want to see Rossi & Co. sliding off of their 250hp machines!

No plans for tomorrow yet.

Cheers.
