Tyntesfield
Ann and I had a lovely day out at Tyntesfield in Somerset. The mansion is a Gothic revival extravaganza and has survived more or less intact. It was saved for the nation by the National Trust in June 2002 with funding from various heritage partners and a significant public appeal.
As well as the house and gardens there are stables to see, an orangery, a chapel, a lovely shop and a few different tea rooms.
Off tonight for a pizza, then Great British Bake off and then Star Trek Into Darkness. A perfect day!
