Souvenir from Greece

I bought this pomegranate for two reasons, the colour and smooth texture is lovely, plus they remind me of my Mum as she always took me to the shop when she picked me up from juniors to get one when they were in season. Once home she gave me a pin to eat it with! I know think it was just a ploy to keep me occupied. It worked : )

* Not actual sterling silver weight, amount of silver metal on the item substantially lower and varies

The Greek History & Tradition of the Pomegranate:
The traditional folk decoration of Greek homes, the pomegranate is cherished as a symbol of joyous times and good fortune, as well as of fertility and prosperity. This veneration of the fruit is rooted in ancient times, and this once ancient practice continues today, finding new meaning in every household. The pomegranate was a magical fruit in Greek mythology, and was associated with three Gods: Demeter, Aphrodite, and Hera.
