North Scottish?

The Balmoral in Edinburgh was called the North British until the late 80's ...

... but is this a sign with the Saltire flying against the blue sky that it is destined to have another name change after the referendum next year?

Maybe Edinburgh could become independent as a pilot, a bit like the poll tax, so then the rest of Scotland can decide whether it would be nae bad later.
