Learning day by day

Katy Ashworth

You know those days when you try to squeeze in too much for your stress levels? Well that was today. We went to church, which was nice and the kids were great through out. We then went into Hitchin to do four things, go to M&S, go to WHSmiths (both to collect orders), go to Pots of Art to pick up Carys's dolphin and go to the Market Square to sample to Food Festival and more importantly, if you are six and under, see Katy Ashworth from Cbeebies and were meant to be back home for lunch at 12.30! Ha, ha, ha! As soon as they said Katy was doing a meet and greet after her performance I knew I was in trouble. They both loved every minute of the performance, but C was more bothered about getting the dolphin than staying to meet Katy and W could have given a stuff about a dolphin and wanted to stay come what may. So I ended up doing both and being over an hour late for dinner. (I have to say that we waited in line for 20mins to meet Katy, without a peep out of either of them. Amazing how patient they/W can be when it is something they really want to do!)

So dolphin collected, and it does look good, dinner had, we headed for a pirate party. Already 20mins late I developed a raging headache which meant I brought them home before birthday cake, not that they realised. We had stayed for over two hours before I gave in.

In my initial plan for the day I had intended to run either after town and before dinner or after the party while the kids were getting ready for bed. Headache and feeling rather odd put pay to that. Instead I had a big glass of water and a couple of paracetamol. Ah well, there is always tomorrow.

I am beginning to realise how rubbish my little camera is. This shot before cropping had the people in the background more in focus than Carys despite me having focused it on Katy. I feel some research over a new small camera may be needed, be warned husband if you are reading this. ;-P
