My boys

Not a particularly wonderful photograph, but pretty much sums up the late afternoon of today, spent entertaining Gizmo and generally managing to get a little chill before the madness of the weekend. Yes I know that the show is in mono because the colours looked weird but I couldn’t resist the look on their two faces. Finally managed to watch a film as well…surprising due to the little amount of time that we seem to have! My first viewing of Almost Famous, one of Thom’s favourite films, and I was not disappointed…a very good film, one that I will be watching again.

Our morning, as ever, was spent running Kids Club…and, as ever, Friday had rolled round again with our Carisma’s Got Talent, with some genuinely hilarious acts…my favourite being a five year old playing the Star Wars theme tune on a kazoo while Thom played the backing chords – one of those moments where you can’t laugh, but the moment is just so funny. There was also lots of joke telling, and all around show…we had a lot of parents come up to us afterwards and say how much they had enjoyed it, and also how that had not expected that their child would do anything for it! The hot dog celebration party lead into a long afternoon of gas deliveries and then tidying up from said hot dog party before the weekend. Sometimes I wonder whether some things are worth the effort.

Tried to have a little time away from everything before the onslaught of the weekend, which meant a flurry of gas changes and people wanting to speak to us. Sometime soon hopefully we will get some sort of evening to ourselves!
