Pink sky clouds

Busy tonight because for some time we have been trying to fix the Rayburn, by sometime I mean about a year. It has been on the go slow and we have been nursing it along and trying to get a plumber to even look but they don't like the job so don't appear. The problem seems to be with the oil tank which is sludged up.

So tonight a kind friend arrived with some home made bits of kit and lots of empty tubs to help us empty it ourselves. We have now drained about 400l of Oil into tubs and some of it is very black but that will settle out I am told. Now to order the parts and try and change them.

I am wondering how long it will be before we have the rayburn back on, an essential part of our winter heating. As usual in this part of the world you need to get on and do things yourself as tradesmen seem hard to come by.
