Forgotten

After the no-show from the midwife yesterday, we left it until later morning today before calling. Quite how this beautiful baby* could be forgotten is beyond me, but the wee man had been overlooked due to staff shortages and a break in communications. Nevertheless, the midwife visited in the afternoon and duly pricked his heel to take away samples for testing. Clearly his father's son, he flinched, shrugged it off straight away and that was that.

In other news, more flowers and cards arrived and Nan appeared with knitting patterns and questions about whether hoods should be added and which colours should be chosen for the cardigan to be knitted.
