Flip, Flop and Fly

Big Joe Turner 1955

Another in my occasional series of public service blips today.
These are Fit Flops.
As sufferer of bouts of screaming sciatica from some disc nonsense a couple of years ago I tend to avoid flip flops and any other shoes with thin soles or where I have to try and use my toes to hold them on....it's amazing how much we girls do this without realising....
I had seen all of the blurb about these in the press and have noticed an increasing number of women wearing them and finally gave in and tried some and can report that they are fabulously comfortable.
I wear MBTs several times a week so comparatively I don't feel the fit flops doing anything in the "Gym in a Shoe " sense...but I wore them every day last week to walk around in Cambodia and they were super.
Two design features stand out - the thick sole is a) great for walking over or through unavoidable puddles and assorted street crap and b) a well cushioned platform for the foot - and the strap over the top is both high on the foot and more snuggly fitting than ordinary flip flops so you don't need to use the toes to hold them on.
I am now a proper believer - give am a try.
Here endeth the advert.

In complete contrast I have just loaded a reasonably cool ladybug shot for yesterday.
