Road works

I think I've caught up! This was taken this morning, walking along the road by the estuary. My earlier shots were a bit blurry, because it was still fairly dark, as I only took the iphone, thinking it was going to rain. We had a wild night in Canterbury, where a number of people lost power due to trees falling on lines, but only brief strong gusts reached us here by the coast. Usually the northwesterly barely gets here.

Anyone living in Christchurch will know that the road works and sewer repairs have ramped up recently, so road works are everywhere, and change daily. We tried to get to the end of Grafton Street in Opawa yesterday, and it took us three goes to get there, and two to get out! Just about every road in this area is blocked, or one way.

So I'm not sure what this sign means. There are road works on this road, not just the side road, but maybe they've run out of signs!
