Damage in the daylight

We had a real storm with gale force winds in Canterbury last night and these pics show some of the damage in Ch-Ch and further south, just nth of Hinds, which is just south of Ashburton.These are two townships of differing sizes, which I pass through to get to Timaru. I'm a courier driver and I shuttle freight from Ch-Ch to Timaru and back again each day Monday to Friday I stop in at Ashburton both ways also. The rivers I cross were rising too and were very discoloured. the wind also increased over the trip duration, but not as bad as yesterday thank goodness.
