Shrubhill Tramway Workshops

Took a wander round this old site which they may now have started to re-develop ( it's only been closed since the 60's !) This was the site of the old tram workshops and power station of Leith Walk. It also had a small Transport Museum but it closed and now most of the exhibits are in the new Riverside Museum in Glasgow. The last old tram that ran in Edinburgh in 1956 (No.35) is housed in Crich Museum in Derbyshire. We still await the new trams to run
( oh joy! ).
