Inspecting the Archives
Attended a meeting today organised by the West Yorkshire Archive Service at the Lawrence Batley Centre in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park,
We were able to inspect a lot of original artwork in the National Arts Education Archive. (Note cotton gloves being worn).
Here part of the collection of A.E.Halliwell is being looked at. His designs and posters include work for London Transport systems and material relating to the wartime Home Front and Dig for Victory campaign.
Thank goodness his works and that of others are being archived and catalogued for future generations.
Viewing 'large' helps a lot.
