Using automatic

With the new battery fully charged I popped a lens on the J1 and set off for the regular Wednesday walk. There was no time to read a manual, so I did what I always advise anyone with a new camera: shoot on automatic until you see what it can do.

We had a lovely walk in and around Slaggyford and Knarsdale. It was misty/damp/rainy with fine bits. The camera therefore made only occasional appearances. I liked the old tree here with the ferns growing from it. The wall is also old; you can see all the mosses that are growing on it.

Not bad for a first attempt.

Arth is not happy today so I'm going to give him a hot soak and hope for the best. Thankfully my 15 mile recci tomorrow has been cancelled. Phew!
