Keeping it under the table

What is it, that cats do, apart from sleep. So far today, the Tom has slept on the bed, in the windowsill, in the tumble dryer and here in the kitchen. No doubt in the early hours he will be pawing me in bed looking to go out. We used to have a cat flap but every moggy in the district was using it like we were an open house.
