Do not let this image of peace and relative tranquility fool you.
This very carriage looked like a cattle train a few minutes before, prior to the daily vomitting of commuters at Pearse, Tara and to a lesser extent Connolly station.
Iarnrod Eireann have cut some of the trains operating during peak time down to 4 carriages (the 7.45 am and 7.59 am northbound from Salthill spring to mind...)
Coupled with the 15% to 20% increases in fares in 2013, it is enabling them to avoid having to look too closely at internal inefficiencies.

Business as usual then.

Someone has to pay for the new logos after all...
