Shelly Beach Bird

Today I ventured north of Auckland in search of hotpools. This is a bird at dusk on Shelly beach. I caught him juts before he flew off for a higher perch.

Parakai hotpools are a local hangout for young and old. It reminded me of Budapest pools where city characters lounge in the geothermal waters. This pool needed just as much love and attention as the victorian one there!
