Out for Lunch

Veronica's Coffee House is a cafe located in a historical building of Old Kenai. The house was originally built for the Oskolkof family around 1918. I remember many years ago when they first wanted to make this little restaurant, it was a raging controversy about whether or not to allow a business in the old building.
It was finally agreed that basically no changes could be made in the building, but they were allowed to add a little extension on the side for extra dining space.

Two friends and I enjoyed a delicious lunch today, and as you can see the sun decided to shine, and it was an excellent time! I had quiche with a polenta crust, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, feta cheese, and rosemary, and a beer/cheese soup. Mmmmm....

Back in June, I blipped an old Russian church, and Veronica's is right across the road. Both are part of historical Kenai, which is about three square blocks, more or less!
