NOISY FRIARBIRD.......

...... The Noisy Friarbird (Philemon corniculatus) is a passerine bird of the honeyeater family Meliphagidae native to southern New Guinea and eastern Australia.
Have been trying to get a shot of one of these for awhile - they are one of many birds who LOVE our grevillea flowers at present and over the last month they have come and gone, and beaten me to getting a shot!

BUT NOT TODAY

Described in the ole WIKI, as far back as 1790.

Although we have a couple of plant leaves over the beak you can see clearly the prominent knob on its bare black-skinned head. It makes a weird call and very loud constant cackling and chattering, with a sound suggested to sound like "four o'clock"!
Put your speakers on and Have a listen.
