whale, hello there

After 20 years, maybe more, I sighted whales at the Oregon Coast.

It was breath-takingly thrilling.

A whole pod rolled and sprayed and crested and dove to our shore-bound delight. We caught ridiculously few photos, so captivated were we by the experience and spectacle. *sigh* Delight, I tell you!

But this little blossom held still for my study. I shall call it the whaleflower.
