Berry Picking

We have been staying at Jen’s Grandma while we have been down here and we thought it would be good to spend the day with her.

We book a drive to Box Hill with stunning views over the area then on to Dembies Vineyard. We had planned to go on a tour but it was just so pricey we decided not to bother. We did pick up some of their wine to try, we know English wine is supposed to be very good.

By the time we were leaving we were very hungry so we stopped at a pub that Audrey recommended. Often pub food can be pretty rubbish but this place served very good, fresh food. No need for stodgy pies and chips!

We were driving home when Audrey mentioned about picking blackberries. A quick diversion and an hour later we had picked nearly 1.8kg of blackberries! Well, that was the total that came home with us, we had to sample a few along the way of course!

We had a really good day and once again it was really nice to spend some time with family!

Home tomorrow – the worst part of a holiday!
