An sent him hamewart tae think again

On 11th September 1297, William Wallace led the Scots to one of their most famous victories at Stirling Bridge. The anniversary was yesterday but time ran away and I never managed a shot of anything vaguely related. As this is his monument, I thought it a fitting tribute to the battle that occurred just along the river.

The title is from the song "Flower of Scotland" written by the Corries about the Battle of Bannockburn, not the official Scottish National Anthem but it's been adopted by the Scots.

We are building up to the 700th anniversay of The Battle of Bannockburn where King Edward's men were once again despatched over the border "tae think again".............. That they say is history (we will just focus on the wins today)
