Day 22 - Boston

Nous sommes parties en direction de Boston le 4 Septembre avec Kendra pour ce qui s'est avéré être un long périple. Kendra a appelé l'hôtel sur la route pour réserver dans ce qu'elle croyait être un hôtel pas très cher mais assez excentré de la ville quand même mais quand on est enfin arrivées, le patron nous a informées qu'il n'avait pas eu de réservation à notre nom de fait ! Première panique, Kendra rappelle le numéro qu'elle avait composé et on découvre qu'elle avait réservé une chambre dans un hôtel dans le centre pour presque le même prix. On a donc dû trouver un endroit pour garer la voiture, pas trop loin du métro pour aller rejoindre l'hôtel, BREF, c'était un peu le rush mais on a finalement réussi à trouver l'hôtel, à y laisser nos bagages et nous sommes parties direction le centre ville ! On est allées au MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) qui a un très beau campus puis on a marché vers Harvard qui est aussi assez impressionnant. Le soir, on est montées en haut d'un building pour apercevoir la vue de Boston (cf photo), ce qui était un peu dommage, c'est qu'on était derrière de grandes baies vitrées ce qui rend pas la tâche facile quand on veut prendre des photos ! On est ensuite rentrées assez tôt, fatiguées de notre périple !

Left to Boston on Wednesday with Kendra and it turned out, we were in the middle of quite a long trip ! Kendra called the hostel on our way so we could book a room for two nights but when we got there, they told us that they didn't have a booking under our name which was odd since we had called them one hour before arriving. We called the number again and it turned out we call a different hostel, closer to downtown and actually much nicer and not that much more expensive ! We had to find a different spot where we could park the car for two days since we didn't want to drive into the city. ANYWAY, we finally managed to find our way to the hostel downtown, we dropped our luggage (which was sooo heavy since I had to take all my stuff with me) and we then headed downtown. We first went to the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) which was pretty impressive and big and we walked to Harvard which is a very nice campus. At night, we went to the top of a building to check out Boston's skyline. Unfortunately, it did not turn out great because big windows were separating us from the great view ! We then headed back to our hostel, tired from our very long day trying to figure so many things out.
