Comfort

We are very comfortable at the moment. We’re in the Hotel Hesperia overlooking the river in the centre of Bilbao. Our room has pnk windows which gives everything a rosy glow (damn, I could have used that for tomorrow’s blip), the bed is about the size of a football pitch and the TV is the size of a small cinema screen. We have more comfort than anyone could wish for.

We arrived here about midday and spent the afternoon in and around the Guggenheim. It’s a fantastic building which almost overshadows all the exhibits because it is just so beautiful on the inside and the out. We are staying a short walk away from the museum so we plan to find somewhere to eat around there later this evening and see what the area looks like at night.

We’re off to the Pyrenees tomorrow. It’s about 3 hours drive away from here and couldn’t be more different. We’re staying in a small B&B about 5 miles away from the nearest town. It should be a whole lot quieter than our current location.

Oh the blip………...It’s Jeff Koons' living sculpture, ‘The Puppy’, which sits (comfortably) outside the Guggenheim looking fantastic (except it looks like he's had an 'accident' on the floor) in full bloom. A complete Kookaburra!!! :-)
