Red Arrows

School stopped briefly today for the Battle of Britain anniversary celebrations. The red arrows were the headline act flying low over St Peter Port despite low cloud. The blip does not do justice to the noise and proximity of the jets but Herm Island can be seen in the background just a 10 minute ferry ride from The Rock. The jets arrived from Jersey where they can take off and land on the longer runway. I'll have my iPhone poised next year for a better shot.
