K's graduation in Kent tomorrow and then we're staying up in London for a birthday party. Oh and there's a football match (for them, rugby for me) and the possibility we may stay Saturday night too before pelting to Salisbury to meet K's dad for lunch on Sunday. He lives in Essex so not sure where Salisbury comes into the equation. I've not been keeping up.

What that meant for today was last minute shopping for me and then an Everest sized mountain of ironing and pressing and starting to pack before giving up and going to bed. I'll just have to go to bed early.

In the middle of all that I had a long chat with a friend from my school days who's doing something coaching related these days, read of my career change and asked if I'd mind running through some questions with her as course prep for her that might be useful to me. And it was although I'm not sure how useful it was for her. I think her questions got thrown away in minute two as the conversation went in a different tack altogether. Great to catch up (it's been 20+ years) and a different perspective.

Now I really must sleep. And SooB I will catch up on Tuesday's blip ASAP. You may have guessed from the above though was that part of the surgeon's advice was a career change although I think he phrased it as "it'd be a good idea to move into management".
