More temples....

Today's first visit was very unexpected! We got tuk- tuks in the hope of going to Wat Benchamabophit- the marble temple, but our tuk- tuk drivers said it was best to go to Wat Hualumpong first- the Lucky Buddha, and who were we to argue! It was beautiful so we were very pleased to have gone. Then, after visiting the compulsory suit shop, we made it to the Marble Temple and it was incredibly beautiful, and very different as it was all made of white marble ( photo). Back to the hotel to drop off the M.I.L, then we took a long boat ride along some of the smaller Bangkok canals, past so many tiny houses. Conveniently (!) met a lady in a long boat who had turned her shop into a mini floating market - the beer was so welcome though! Then on to Taling Chan floating market where we saw amazing food being cooked on tiny coal barbecues on long boats. JP also had to feed the fish!! Another amazing Thailand day.
