The Pierhead Building - Cardiff Bay
How resplendent does the Bute Docks Company building look in the evening sun!? It kind of completed the story of the weeks stay. We had done the coal from Lewis-Merthyr pit, the old miners cottages at Saint Fagan's, Cardiff Castle, re-built from the money made from the coal, which was sold in this very building.
We knew sooner or later we had to let Dawn's brother go home .. today our last day with him staying with us here in South Wales.
We decided to end his stay with a visit down to Cardiff Bay in the evening. It was fairly quiet there. We had a wander around and beer looking out of over the bay. The inevitable happened when surrounded by so many good eateries. We had an Italian in the restaurant on the corner of Roald Dahl plaza. It just topped things off rather nicely!
