Nearly there......
My word I was lazy today! Fortunately, I'd had a burst of enthusiasm yesterday after finishing work and did all the tedious chores I'd saved for today. That's it now. Energy and enthusiasm has been used up for this year.
Just kidding! I think I have a fair bit left. Anyway, I sat on the settee watching the Roots box set I'd received from Amazon Man yesterday. I can't believe I'd not seen it before! I mentioned it to mom earlier and she said that I was in bed when that used to be on the telly. The father from the Waltons was in it looking exactly the same as he did on the Waltons apart from the pony tail he has on Roots. He gets killed when Kunta Kinte hurls a dagger at him on board the slave ship towards the end of episode 2 so his part wasn't a great one. I couldn't watch the bit where the slave catchers chopped half of Kunte Kinte's right foot off to stop him running away again. KK is actually called Toby by his owner at that stage. Maybe his name should have been called Less_Toesby? Well, I don't think he'll be on Strictly Come Dancing.
Sorry! I'm waffling! Seriously, I did nothing apart from watch Roots and stuff my face today. I haven't even packed yet! Oh yes...speaking of packing, I have had an argument with Bony. I'm not taking him up to Scotland again and he is having a big sulk. He will be back as a Blip star soon but has decided that daily writing is not for him. I am back as I was before. As for my journal title, I used to be 'The one nearest the door' in the old office but I am now in the dark corner when I do go in as I never put my light on.
Today's picture I am pleased with! It was the only one I took. That little fellow has been teasing me for over a year. He knows he looks great on the old watering can spout but has been landing on it, dancing about and flying off the second I clicked. Today he looked right at me and stayed where he was! The little darling! I had to do a bit of a vignette effect on it to cut the glare of the kitchen window pane out a bit.
Track? Something completely different today. I really like this American guitarist and hadn't heard this one for ages - To The Devil For A Dime
