Drawing a crowd

As I approached the bookshop today I realised something was attracting a crowd. This man, one of the living statues you often see, appeared to be sitting on nothing while pouring water from a bottle into a mug. I watched for quite a while and the water just kept pouring and pouring.

I was quite perplexed! As were several of the passers-by. Note the lady in the background with her hand to her chin in the "how does he do that" pose and the little boy who was fascinated and a bit scared to put his money in the pot.

I eventually rationalised a tube going from the mug, up his sleeve, down the other sleeve and into the bottle with a pump somewhere in the middle. That allowed me to get on with my day but, if the truth be told, I still think it might be magic!
