Paradise

This wonderful landscape is on our doorstep, almost literally - today we waked out of the gates, down the road. To an opening in the wall, and into this archeological park, for want of a better description. The land had been thrown about by the 1693 earthquake and presents a jumble of rock and ravine all the way down to Noto Antica, where we ended up.

There was a breeze, hot sun, vivid blue sky, cicadas and birdsong. And lizards. We walked for two and a half hours. Great. Just ... Great.
