Bumpy Bark

Did a walk today hoping to get it in before the rain came in....we were soaked by the time we got back to car.

Grabbed this blip along the path of the Hamilton Beach Strip (Lake Ontario) and came across this very interesting tree. It reminds me of something out of a Harry Potter Movie. I've never seen such unusual bark before....have you?
