It is Friday

I introduced Pete Wood, here from the Isle of Man, to Burgundy's last night. It was raining so Sheil gave us a lift and we were the first there and experienced the bar opening and unlocking the doors.

Then one by one the jazz group arrived with hats & overcoats in from the wet night - Peter Boocock . drummer, complaining of a sore foot after golfing, Dave Lee,reeds, recovering from his back operation and then Pete Major, keyboards, Laurence Canty, bass and Fran Lee, vocals. And they all then came to life as soon as they unpacked their instruments. Unfortunately the turnout was poor, maybe because of the rain, but it did mean that we all won raffle prizes.
