And now for something a bit different

Thanks for all the nice words on the last post but I have woken up this morning and decided Friday the 13th needed a different perspective.
Despite a difficult start I had a really worthwhile trip to Manchester starting and ending at Huddersfield station which looks more like a stately home than part of the rail network.
Caught up with someone I shared an office with as a postgrad in Sheffield 20 years ago. We were both mature students and did our first teaching there and wrote our first academic paper as a joint piece. So lovely to see she hasn't changed. Also caught up with a younger former colleague who left Leeds for Manchester a year ago. He's loving it there. And I was thanked for my helpful and practical contribution to their exam board. Nice.
What I just missed was a bride on the steps of the station here as I waited for my lift home. You can see some of the guests here in their finery. With brollies.
