Victory!

Well it had to happen some time - my friends on the Cambridge Assessment rounders team have been nigh-on undefeatable for the last few years - but with the rounders gods on our side it was the Independent's Day. We were the first team batting and got to a good score of 20, but knowing Mark could do that by himself on a good day we were a little wary when taking the field.

And then I caught Mark out on his second bat. Stuart out in short left field was playing a blinder as well, stopping everything that came his way and trapping runners on second and third. Someone on Assessment's team launched a ball to centre field and, apparently without looking, Deano stuck a hand up and pulled it down - then Rich did the same. Stef launched another one deep and with a bit of a run I managed to catch him too. The next two runners only made it to first and second, then with Lawrence up to bat he missed and Dave ran to fourth, stumping out the runners and ending the game.

Final score: 20-6.5

That's not going to happen again anytime soon!
