Goats in an olive grove

Skiathos has one main road that runs along the southern side of the island. There are a few paved roads going further inland but most are dirt tracks that crisscross the empty hills, probably originally to allow the fire engines access to the forested areas in the middle and north of the island. Some lead to isolated beaches with nothing on them but a tavern and sun beds
Having a little Jimny jeep means we can get along these tracks without much trouble (except that our insides are endlessly vibrated and shaken about). It was on one of these trips we found this herd of goats and a goat-herder sheltering from the midday sun under these trees. They are probably milked to product the local feta cheese which is delicious, so much fresher than available in UK supermarkets
