Ouch! 2 ...

Today a Wasp spider with prey, a brown colored grasshopper, quickly immobilised by wrapping it in silk. The prey was then bitten and injected with a paralysing venom and a protein dissolving enzyme.

I made the picture with two small flashes. One fill in flash from the camera and one small strobe flash as a backlight.

I chose for a this b/w version to soften the display a bit. But it is like nature is ... merciless ... the survival of the fittest ... ;)
