Fairies' handkies?

This is a spider's web which has thistledown caught in it. There were many of them amongst the thistles and they looked like pieces of intricate lace strewn in the grass.
It has been a beautiful, sunny and warm day for our walk from Dysart to Aberdour along the Fife Coastal Path with its harbours, beaches,brambles, views of East Lothian and historic buildings.
